Mother's Day Program

Below is the program for our May 10th Mother's Day Jr Primary Program. Please take a minute to find your child's name and help them to learn their parts. If you have any questions please contact a member of the presidency. Thanks!

29th Ward Junior Primary

Following the passing of the Sacrament, children walk up to the front, singing or humming “Mother Dear” p. 206. Jr. Primary and their teachers go to their assigned seats on the stand. Senior Primary without teachers goes to assigned pews at the front of the chapel.)

Ben B: The Family: A Proclamation to the World says that “…the family is central to the Creator’s plan. . .”


Gracie O: “By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness.

Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children.”


Jacob M: Sister Susan Tanner said, “It is not only a mother's primary responsibility but also part of her eternal identity and purpose.” Nurture means to teach, to grow, to feed, and to nourish.


Karli J: We can nurture a seed. When we nurture a seed it can turn into a beautiful flower. We plant it, give it water, and sunlight.


Easton R: We are like little seeds. We need our mothers to nurture us so that we can grow.


Camryn C: We need food and water, we need to be taught and cared for. And we need lots of hugs, kisses, and love.


Brandon S: We need our mothers to help us grow by sharing the gospel with us in words, testimony, and example.

Chase P: The Book of Mormon tells of faithful mothers who taught their sons and daughters.


Kamber C: They had been Lamanites, but they repented and vowed never to fight again.


Sam L: When the Lamanites came to kill them, their sons valiantly stood up to defend their land, their liberty, and their families.


Hayden A: They are the mothers of the 2,000 stripling warriors.

Madyson M: In the early days of this Church, there was a very wise mother.


Kadin G: She taught her children to read the scriptures.


Cassie B: She moved many times. At one time she lived in a log cabin in New York.


James H: When one of her sons needed surgery, he asked her to leave the room so she didn’t have to

see him in pain.


Gabrielle N: Her husband and one of her sons were named Joseph.


McKay J: Her son Joseph became a prophet.


Morgan C: This very courageous mother was Lucy Mack Smith, the mother of the Prophet Joseph Smith.


Makayla B: Because of her example and love, her son, the Prophet Joseph Smith, had the faith and courage to pray to God, to receive revelation, and to lead the Church as Prophet.


Matthew A: She joined the Church and was faithful through times of persecution and great trial.


Sidney H: My mother has taught me to read the scriptures and I will be courageous like Joseph Smith.

Abi H: When her son was 12 years old, they went on a trip. Her son got lost. They found him in the temple, teaching the doctors.


Bailey J: This mother was Mary, the mother of Jesus.


Cade P: Because Mary was brave and pure, she was chosen to be the mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
